Southeast Miscellaneous Erectors (SME) is looking for a leading, full-time steel erector.
Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- 3-5 years min. experience in erecting miscellaneous steel
- Managing and training crews of Steel Erectors is a big part of the job
- Fitting steelwork following engineers’ instructions
- Laying down metal decking
- Hoisting steel, attach cables and/or slings to each piece using levels, transits, laser equipment
- Erect hoisting equipment
- Install rigging
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications
